Local Partnerships was created to help the better delivery of local infrastructure and local services. Local Partnerships is designed to work with government, local authorities, local public bodies, and the community focussed third sector developing client side commercial capability and delivery expertise.
Local Partnerships is a delivery organisation that deploys people with professional backgrounds, experience and a strong track record in financing and commercial delivery to deliver outcomes which benefit local service users. In 2012-13, Local Partnerships worked directly with 65% of all local Councils in England and Wales.
Local Partnerships has been actively working in the social investment space since 2009. Our work includes fund management (we co-managed the Department of Health’s £100m Social Enterprise Investment Fund with The Social Investment Business), facilitating networks, fund development, supporting new investment models (such as payment by results and social impact bonds) and being an approved provider for the Investment and Contract Readiness Fund.
